I first met Shirley at the Blackboard Users Conference in 2002, at that time we seemed to have a lot in common in terms of size of institution and where we were in terms of implementing Blackboard. Four years later, she is a brand:
Louise has her book, and most of it is good sense. I liked her idea of elearning cornerstones – something very similar to our ongoing efforts to value teaching. She also had some trenchant things to say about how other departments need to support the e-learning folk at their institution. Where I part company from her is in her insistence on having a content development resource (though perhaps a lot of the content at her institution is very specialist).

Wow! that's a fancy way to do business. The book is pretty good, lots of common sense in there - did you check out the reviews of the book on the site - one of them is from Demetra back in her Kingston days - small world!
